MCTC RECOGNITION AWARD INFORMATION
Teen Court Recognition Award 2025 – 2026
This recognition award is open to students graduating high school who have volunteered eight (8) sessions between June 2025 and February 2026 with Mecklenburg County Teen Court, regardless of race, creed, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, or disability status.
Selection of Recipients
Applicants are expected to complete the application and meet all requirements set forth in the application. Award recipients will be notified by phone call or email.
Submission Requirements
- A recent headshot emailed to chrisb941@gmail.com
- The completed online application using the award application button below.
- Two (2) signed letters of recommendation emailed to chrisb941@gmail.com
- One letter from a teacher or counselor
- One letter from an employer, coach, pastor, etc.
- The focus should be on your character & commitment to your community
- Write an essay about how the MCTC experience has impacted you. Did it change your thinking? Your life?
- Provide specific examples
- Double spaced and typewritten
- Do not use AI
- Provide a copy of a letter of acceptance /proof of application to a college, university, or trade school emailed to chrisb941@gmail.com
- Please send your headshot and complete the application online as soon as possible so we can get to know you
- Please submit the remaining requirements by the deadline of February 28, 2026.
